Ways to Help Build a Winning Campaign in Missouri’s 2nd District

Thank you for your interest in supporting Fred Wellman’s campaign for Congress. We’re building a people-powered campaign across Missouri’s 2nd District, and there are many meaningful ways to get involved.

Some opportunities are especially important right now, while others will become available as the campaign grows and we get closer to Election Day.

What We Need Help With Now:

  • Regional Coordinators serve as local leaders for the campaign in communities across the district. This is one of our most important volunteer opportunities right now.

    Regional Coordinators help by:

    • serving as a point of contact for supporters in their area

    • identifying local events, meetings, and opportunities for campaign visibility

    • recruiting and connecting volunteers

    • sharing campaign updates with their networks

    • building relationships with community leaders and organizations

    • helping lead and moderate a local Facebook group for supporters in their area

This role is a great fit for someone who is organized, engaged in their community, and excited to help grow the campaign locally.

  • One of the best ways to strengthen the campaign is by bringing more people into the work.

    You can help by:

    • inviting friends and family to volunteer

    • sharing campaign sign-up opportunities

    • encouraging neighbors and local contacts to get involved

    • identifying people who may be strong volunteers, local leaders, or coalition connectors

If you know people who care about the future of this district, helping us grow the team is a real contribution.

  • Our online presence helps us expand Fred’s reach, share campaign updates, and connect with voters across the district.

    Digital volunteers can help by:

    • sharing campaign posts

    • amplifying event announcements and key messages

    • helping spread accurate information online

    • jumping in for rapid response amplification when big news breaks

    • inviting others to follow the campaign

If you are active online and want to help grow our message, this is a great place to plug in.

  • Supporters on the ground can help us show the energy and momentum of the campaign.

    This can include:

    • taking photos at events

    • capturing short videos

    • sending in updates from local activities

    • helping document the campaign in communities across the district

Strong visual content helps us tell the story of this race and show the strength of our growing movement.

  • We want to show up throughout the district and meet voters where they already are.

You can help by letting us know about:

    • local festivals and fairs

    • farmers markets

    • neighborhood events

    • civic, faith, labor, or advocacy meetings

    • opportunities to table, march, sponsor, or speak

Local knowledge is incredibly valuable and helps us reach people and communities we might otherwise miss.

Host or Help Organize a Small Event

Small gatherings are one of the best ways to build authentic support and introduce new people to the campaign.

    You can help by:

    • hosting a house party or meet-and-greet

    • organizing a neighborhood coffee or happy hour

    • bringing together supporters in your community

    • connecting us with others who may be interested in hosting

If you enjoy bringing people together, this is a meaningful way to support the campaign.

  • Coalition Liaisons help us build stronger relationships with key communities and networks across the district, including veterans, labor, parents, and other trusted community groups.

    Coalition Liaisons help by:

    • serving as a connector between the campaign and a specific community or constituency

    • sharing campaign updates and opportunities with people in their network

    • helping recruit supporters and volunteers from within their community

    • identifying events, issues, and opportunities relevant to their coalition

    • helping lead and moderate Facebook groups or online spaces for supporters connected to that constituency

This role is a great fit for someone who is well-connected in a particular community and wants to help build lasting support for the campaign.
